Oras Group continues to improve supply chain efficiency – Operations from Kralovice plant and Scandinavian Logistic Center to be transferred
Oras Group started its transformation journey towards a more sustainable and competitive manufacturing footprint in 2019. The company has executed a comprehensive investment program in its manufacturing locations and clarified the roles of Oras Group's factories. The next step is to streamline the company’s supply network targeting to improve customer satisfaction, shorten the lead times of the customer deliveries and improve Oras Group’s capital management.
Oras Group is transfering the operations from its Kralovice plant, Czech Republic, to other group locations, mostly to Olesno plant in Poland. The company will also stop its operations in the Scandinavian Logistic Center and serve the Scandinavian customers from the warehouse in Rauma. Through these changes Oras Group will reduce its internal transportation between the sites and simplify its supply chain comprehensively.
Oras Group owns the plant in Kralovice and currently there are 76 people employed at the site. Majority of these positions are planned to be moved to Olesno. The Scandinavian Logistics Center is an outsourced operation, which means it does not affect to Oras Group personnel.
Initial planning to move the operations has already begun. Now the company is commencing more detailed planning. The operations will likely to be moved gradually, and it is estimated to take from one to one and half years before completely transferred. Oras Group is looking for possible industrial companies to continue operations at the site.
